TRIAL REVIEW
In the past 24hrs since the trial the club has had some great comments made about the event, which is always nice to hear and read about. The event went well and it was good to see the west Wales boys make the long trip up to ride the event , what really bugged me was that the date clashed with the Nantgwilt trial , this was not the fault of the club but more the welsh motorcycle federation that gives out the dates, lets hope that next year they can spread the events out through the year and avoid the clashes of events.

WELSH TWINSHOCK
For those of you that don't know, Pontypool club is running the final round of the Welsh twinshock series this weekend.
The event, the details of which can be found below, is now all marked out and although the ground is very wet it is still rideable although it will be tricky. What surprised us most is that the water levels in the streams are not too deep although the banks are slick so if you have a new tyre maybe now is the time to fit it. A good long lap has been marked out using the wood on the far side of the venue as well as the stream and with any luck we might have a dry day.
Anyone can enter the event, modern or twinshock, but if you are an expert rider please be aware that only two routes are marked out, not the normal three although that doesn't stop you riding.
Finally the club , as normal in trials, is still looking for observers so if you can bring one along and get yourself a free ride that would be great.

CLUBS NEXT TRIAL
After what seems like an eternity, well at least nine months, the Welsh twinshock championship is now underway and Pontypool club is running what i believe to be the last round of the series.
The event, which is being held on the 16th November , is taking place at Cottage farm , Rockfield, Monmouth NP25 5QD.
Start time is 10.30 and the secretary of the Meeting is Garry Jones- 07989 463262.
Two routes are planned and although its a round of the twinshock series everyone is welcome to ride, you can also get a free entry if you can supply an observer.
Don't forget that the Vale of Towy club is also running a round of the series a week before ours, please have a look on Welsh trials.com for more details from the towy club.

May I take
this opportunity to thank all those who supported this event. Many thanks to Rhondda Club for stepping in to organise a very good
testing course of 20 sections and 2 laps. This gave the riders an excellent value
for money day out.
The change
of venue (at the last minute) was due to Natural Resources Wales preventing the
use of Gwyddon Forest because of Larch Infestation prohibiting use to the
public.
The event
made money for the following charities:
J D R F
(Diabetes)
Wales Air
Ambulance.
Thanks to
the landowner Mrs Sian Farr.
